The Sharpmaker comes with 30 and 40 degree settings(15 and 20 per side).....If you want to get to another angle such as 25 degree per side....What do you do?

I have heard of people propping other stones on it to get an estimate of the angle and if you have a protractor you can mesaure it out and add space if needed.
If you don't have other stones don't hold the blade straight but at a slight angle to one side. I'm pretty sure it is more away from the stones the higher the angle the loser to the stone the smaller the angle. I would use a protractor too to see my angle so you can get muscle memory.

The angles on the sharpmaker are perfect for most peoples needs, and 40 is just fine for hard use knives.

Some folks have posted that they tilt the sharpmaker in order to get other angles.

I just use the angles on the Sharpmaker. I have used 15°, but usually use the 40° because of the kinds of cutting chores for which I use my knives. I use knives for trimming plastic and such, seldom for flesh as I don't hunt these days.
