Sharpmaker + Edge2x

Has anyone else noticed that Buck's Edge2x blade geometry is a near perfect match to the 30-degree setting on the Spyderco Sharpmaker sharpener. I just put about 90 seconds work on a brand new 110 that felt a little less sharp than my others. After that it was so sharp that it scared me when I let the blade snap shut. I had a mental image of 2 or 3 finger tips dropping away.

Yup, I noticed when I got my first 110 recently. I had some older Bucks that matched, but they had been sharpened before so I wasn't sure until I got the new one.

I think the Edge2x thing says 28-32 degrees, and the sharpmaker is supposed to be 30 at the sharp setting.
