Ok, I love a sharp knife. I have tried the sand paper and like it. I have stones and thought that I was "good" as sharpening a knife. I wanted more, some knives just didn't want to get sharp.

I went camping this weekend, took the new Sharpmaker and a handfull of knives.

Boker Copperhead - carbon
Boker Barlow - carbon
Moore Maker Whittler - 1095
Case Mini-Trapper - stainless
AG Russell Featherlite - AUS8
Victorinox German SAK - stainless serated
Frost Clipper - carbon

All razor sharp in a few minutes. I still will strop for that polished edge, but the Sharpmaker is awesome.

Just got mine yesterday, what can I say - I even cooked dinner for the wife just for a chance to cut something up with our now razor sharp kitchen knives.

Highly recommended, and for me a lot faster and sharper than I can get on a stone.

I used the 40 and it was perfect for all my knives, but I had previously sharpened tham all on a stone - no factory edges.
