Any difference in versions or generation of the Spyderco Sharpmaker made in China or USA?

To the best of my knowledge, all the real SharpMakers are made in the USA. There was a thread about this a while back and if I recall correctly, TazKristi chimed in to confirm this. Where did you see one made in China?

Most of the ones on Ebay seem to be made in China. I've asked the sellers for the items that don't have that information and they confirm that there is a Made in China stamp on them.

The byrd brand "Duckfoot" sharpener is made in china.

the Spyderco brand "Triangle Sharpmaker" is made in Golden.

Looks like you've got counterfeits floating around then, because these were branded Spyderco...

Thanks for the info.

Would you mind to give us the link to these knock-offs? (As long as it isn't against the rules here, which I don't think)

We could learn a bit from the pics, especially because this topic popped up before, as yablanowitz said and I remember, too.

Didn't see TSM knock-offs before, though. Must be new.

If you ask some of the other sellers that don't list where the item is made, many will say it says Made in China on the packaging as well just like the above link.
They assume that everything is made in china so that is their standard answer.

Thanks for the links.

Looks legit to me.

I'd like to know where on the product they read "Made in China".

"Made in USA" should be visible right in the middle of the opened SM.....

If those are copies, they are VERY good copies.

Everything on my SharpMaker says made in the United States of America.
