Sharpmaker question?

I got mine last night, and i love it. My kitchen knives are perfect. My carbon fibre police is scary shaving sharp.

I was just curious about one thing, the 12.5 degree hole on the side. Does yours seem too big for the stones? The bottom of my sharpmaker is "bowed" out about .5mm in the middle and the middle of the hole for the stones has this "gap"... :grumpy: I"m just asking if this is normal, 'cause the stones seem to shift around *alot* when i tried to sharpen scissors... like a good 10degrees when i pulled towards me...

Help me out, can i push the bottom in? (i tried, it won't move... seems glued) Ignore it? Contact Spyderco? I know that their customer service is *superb* but i don't want to bother then w/ something if it's trivial...

You might want to call Spyderco. It sounds like it might be defective. Just checked my 204 and the stones fit tight with minimal play.

Hi Knife_boi. Doesn't sound normal to me. they should fit pretty close. I've not seen any as loose as you describe. You might give Mike a call at Warrantee & Repair.
