I am thinking about buy a Syperdco Sharpmaker. Does anyone know if this will sharpen both Sypderco serations as well as other makers serations?

Thanks

Measure twice, cut once

YES.

I have used mine on a variety of serrated blades up to and including the POS Cold Steel serration pattern with no problems.

The Sharpmaker is an awesome sharpner and a must have for all knifenuts.

It will sharpen almost everything. Had one knife with really small serrations, about half the size of the small Spyderco one, that were too small for the edge of the stone but that is the only one I have ever seen that it wouldn't sharpen.

It is not the fall that kills you. It is the realization that "yes, you did something that stupid."

Get one and you will never regret it.

Make sure you get the 204 and not the 203 (they are still around here and there).

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

Hoodoo,

Please 'splain to Harv why he should get the 204 model over the 203 model.

.

I have a 203 that I think is excellent, and a 204 that's "in the mail, on its' way" to me that I'm anxious to try-out, (IF I can find a dull knife somewhere...

The 204 is One better than the 203.

Actually, my understanding is that the 204 adds at least one more sharpening angle for the user to select. But since I do not use either system, I should probably not offer advice.

Oh yes it will sharpen almost anything (I'm serious). I hated serrated knives until I got one and now I had to pull the old serrated kitchen knife set out because they're easier to sharpen than my plain edged ones. I love my 204

Just because I'm paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get me.
