Sharpmaker is a ceramic knife sharpener made by Spyderco to make sharpening just about any knife, including one with serrations, very easy. It comes with two medium grit triangle ceramic rods and 2 fine grit ceramic rods. They are triangle so you can use the corners to sharpen serrations. They can be set at either 30 degrees for back beveling or sharpening thin bevels or they can be set at 40 degrees for most sharpening needs. You can also lay rods flat to act as a bench stone. There is also a setting for sharpening scissors. You can really sharpen any tool you have with it.
Bass Pro sells them. So do most of the internet knife shops. If you live near a Bass Pro, go take a look at one in person there. That is where I bought mine recently.

Here is a pic of mine. The white rods are fine and set at 40 degrees. The brown one sticking out the end is a medium and set for scissors. Normally you don't leave that one in, but I put it there for illustration.

A darn good product for the masses .., and I do think you'll like it!! Lots of guys swith to combinations of jig sharpeners and hand sharpening stones after gaining a knowledge of the geometry involved.., but the Sharpmaker is really a good start.

That is the only reason you can find to go to Bass Pro Shop??!!! I wish I lived closer than 2 hours to mine, I'd go there all the time. Then again, don't know if I can afford to go there all the time.
