Sharpness test

I currently carry 4 knives: a CRKT SPEW, a Milwaulkee fastback folding knife, a multi tool with a knife blade, and a SOG seal strike (5 if you count my scalpel knife, but this question is for the purpose of sharpness test, which I feel the scalpel knife is exempt due to having disposable blades). The crkt, milkwaulkee, and the multi tool will all slice clean through notebook paper after sharpening. The seal strike I find very difficult to get cuts started on thin paper, but it will slice clean through an envelope or any thicker paper. Is this due to the heavier weight of the blade (it will typically fold thin paper instead of cutting it) compared to the weight of the other knives, which are all lighter with shorter blades than the seal strike? The seal strike has no problem getting cuts started on an envelope or thicker paper. I’m thinking it’s properly sharpened (oh btw I have three arkies, grey, translucent, and black), but I want to make sure I’m correct in thinking the weight of the blade is just folding thinner paper. If I stick the blade through the paper and then cut, it slices clean.

If you've sharpened them the same, it's mostly edge geometry. Blades with thinner grinds that are thin behind the edge and taper more gradually will slice through paper better.

Ahh, thanks so much and yes, I’ve sharpened all my knives using the same three stones, progressing from coarse to fine. That makes a lot of sense, and I shan’t worry about it a moment longer. I was a tad worried I had messed something up, but I see that’s not the case.
