HI guys

What is the best way to sharppen a hawk? How sharp should it be?
Sharp enough to cut paper or skin?
Can i use one of those Lansky sets to sharpen the blade?

How do you tie a parastrop to the head of the hawk?Pictures please.

What is the best way to sharppen a hawk?

There really isn't anything different in principle between sharpening a tomahawk or a knife.

How sharp should it be?

It depends on what you are doing, if you are throwing it around there isn't a lot of sense it bring it past the point where the edge evenly meets in a crisp line because the first time you miss the target the sharpness will be lower than that anyway.

Can i use one of those Lansky sets to sharpen the blade?

Yes, for a wood cutting tomahawk go to the highest polish.
