Step 3: Use Izula to whittle sheath to shape.

Damn dude, might as wel wrap the izzy in duct tape and waer that around your neck...is it that much lighter/more comfortable??

Guardian,

I don't have a nice little scale or anything but it HAS to reduce the weight, I mean, that's just how things work. The difference isn't exactly huge. It's not like the original sheath weighed a ton. It's just a necker for me and I want the smallest possible item around my neck, so that's it. I often sleep with this guy. I do take it off for showers, but that's about it.

God bless,
Adam

I don't know if I can take any kind of tips from someone who wears those kind of flip flops. It will be a little better if u made them, but if u bought them...... I don't know. But on a plus side I don't feel as weird about my crocs lol

Deadeye,

I made them. They are horrible, the matterial is way too floppy. But they were a trial run. I'm getting a pair of Huaraches from invisibleshoes.com. I honestly think they could prove to be great outdoor footwear (this is a HUGE shift for me as a boots guy, my church shoes are a pair of Corcoran 10" Jumps.)

Grinders will get to hot and just melt alot of plastic. I used a wood rasp to file out a recess for whe my wood scales went. Dont have a picture handy though...

There is a youtube video where a guy tells you to whittle it following the outline of the blade shape on the sheath, but to give a little tolerance. I think its the same guy who whittled a 4 x 4 in two with an Izula on youtube in about 6 min. The Izula sheath is perfectly sized for me, I EDC'd a 3 decently concealed around my neck under a button-up shirt before the Izula came out.
