Shaving angle of straight razor

Can anyone tell me at what angle the razor blade is held wrt the skin when it shaves?

I'm not exactly sure what angle I hold mine at, I just do whatever feel right. There a numerous articles online about this subject. Try searching for it.

The default is 30 degrees, but you'll find razors that perform better at lower angles. The width of your razor will also change the perceived angle -- 7/8 razor will look like it's closer to your face than a 4/8 will.

Try not to exceed the angle, as you'll be more prone to cuts or razor burn from the edge scraping rather than cutting the hairs off.

Lady here - I've used a straight razor to shave my legs and it depends on what part I'm shaving, different angles for different contours.
