I shot Shawn's knife yesterday and he asked me to post it. Beautiful knife.

Damascus back draft pattern made of 15n20 & 1084 and it’s been hot blued.
The guard, ferrule & buttcap are made of 1018 mild steel. The guard and ferrule are also hot blued with file work. The handle is India sambar stag

Thanks for looking,
Chuck

I love these little bowies. This is a very nice example of the style.

Hopefully that is a hair, and not a crack.

Good looking knife! Am I seeing a crack or is it a hair about 1 1/2" from the point? I hope its a hair.....

I see several. One right where the clip starts, however isn't it very common to see weld lines in mosaic or pattern welded damascus?
Some patterns just cover them better than others.

I don't see that as a flaw?

Anyway, nice Bowie and photo.

It's a weld line, look at how the patterns meet.

IMHO, the only reason you see it is the blade being hot blued.

Gorgeous little bowie.

Great work Shawn!

Is Shawn testing for Ms this year?

That's what I was thinking Kevin and Nick.

Great small Bowie.
