Aloha!

Was so knocked out by Dwayne's (aka leatherman) bead blast refinigh on a BM-E that he had that I was up all night thinking about the "beater" SHBM that I had. This one has the brass tube fasteners and came out looking way, way, way cool!

What do you think? Quite a contrast to the shiny, smooth finished SHBM that I have pictured with it!

Enjoy!

Thomas

Dang that came out nice!! I'm glad you went ahead and did it!!:D

Thanks for the comments but it was Dwayne that got me thinking about it. I'm just bummed I did not take a picture of the knife beforehand. Black coating was all gone in the sweet spot and really marred up from a lot of use. It had a lot of character. Even with the industrial bead blast cabinet (it was about the size of a volkswagon bug) it took 10-15 minutes to get a nice even blast that removed all the coating. But its a nice change. Heart and soul of the Busse blade is still there, just has a new "coat of paint" ;)

I hand polished that Shinny SHBM. I remember Jerry jokingly asking me if I wanted a Job. But INFI is a pain to hand polish.

Very Cool Hoss! I love a Bead Blast Finish.
