what is the interest in this mistress? i never cared for the smaller scales. guess it's just individual taste but i think the fat fusion mistress is a beautiful blade. thanks

People covet older Busse knives. I think that's pretty much it. I like my infi FAT, so the SHBM doesn't really appeal to me that much.

The collectors go mad over them!
I would love to have one but I don't think spending $1000+ on that blade is worth it to me.
If it came down to it I would rather have a few FFFBMs....

The SHBM is a hands down favorite for a lot of old hogs and piglets  Feel free to contact me if you want to get rid of yours :D

i dont think mines as old as some i see here. i heard of busse combat through a article in ASG. when i ordered mine in 99 the only ones i saw had the old style fasteners. after nearly a year wait mine came with the tube type fasteners and black ceramic blade finish.

Don, it's like anything. It is an acquired taste. I have used it for a long time so I am use to it. Others use newer knives and they prefer those. You can sell it and get yourself a few new ones. A mint CG hollow tube SHBM like yours will go for about $1150 these days with original sheath.

cool, the article was by ron hood. mine looks like that except for tube fasteners and the black ceramic coating.

I think you need a bevy of different mistresses, depending on what you might be in the mood for. I think they are better when naked.

and don't forget, we at the company store have been known to take trade ins on select straight handle busse's ;)

I now have the ASG issue with the article... a BIG THANKS to JohnTheTexican.

He was kind enough to send me his copy when I scored these 2 from Ron. :)
They are both pre-release BMs from early 97 given to Ron for the article.
