Went camping in the Sierras last weekend, man did I ever need to get away! Figured this would be a good chance to find out if all the hype and stories were true. I’ve put off buying one since I’ve been here. Always seemed to have a good reason not to get one…but I just couldn’t stand not knowing for sure, so couple of weeks ago she showed up and I was determined not to lock her up in a safe but find out if Cobalt is right.

I’m not sure what sucks more…..Cobalt being right….or having waited so long to own one, let alone use one.

My 1/300 user SHBM….to date, the FreakingBaddestBusse I’ve ever swung. Handles easily, stays incredibly sharp, light carry, and it out chopped a hatchet and IMO the FBM I’ve used before. I spent the weekend batoning wood, chopping logs, cutting open everything and anything and it never let me down. I rate this blade right up there with the SFNO and the SHSH as being the closest to knife perfect. Later I’ll being doing a side by side comparison with my CG FBM. Hopefully I won’t have to wait until my next trip to the Sierras.

I like the last pic the best. The fire back drop is cool, or hot maybe!!!

FreakingazzCOOL pix, Solstice!! :D:thumbup::thumbup: ... As for the SHBM, well, it's terrible. That's right, it's terrible that I don't HAVE one!! ;) Nice!

Beautiful scenery there man. I really miss the snow and cold as weird as it may sound to some. Seems that it was easier to warm up than cool down. NorCal is on my next place to live list for sure.

awesome pic's Brian!:thumbup: is that the CRK Shadow w/serrations and Piter's Sheath hiding on your Right hip?:D

Very nice, looks just like what the doctor ordered, R&R Busse style :thumbup: :cool:

Nice Photos, looks like a great trip! :D :thumbup:

Beat that SHBM! It's just a 1 in 300! :eek: Cobalt *is* the SHBM-pusher, ain't he? :D :D

The 5th pic scared me!:eek::eek:

What flashed in my head was 'Jeez Louise Man!, all those threads about shooting a Busse were just jokes!:cool::cool:

Great pics.

Cool pics Solstice. What lake/campground is this?

Shaver Lake, 5,000ft. Nearest city is Fresno. Beautiful country, and not over crowded. Courtright & Wishon reservoirs (King River canyon) are about 45 minutes from Shaver. This is where most of my "camp time" is spent.

Brian it looks like you had a great time camping with your mistress! Beautiful pics!
