Can anyone reccomend me some good shears for cutting through dozens of strands of the thick synthetic yarn that artificial turf is made from? I work in a factory where the yarn is manufactured and I often find myself having to power through dozens or hundreds of strands in a single cut. The yarn is extruded polyethylene if that makes a difference.

look at kai, they even have Kevlar shears but they are not cheap! I have been using a pair of them over 5yrs now, they were around 120.00 then and have come down some in price but still good 7200 series are the best if you aren't cutting Kevlar. mine are 7250;s

Heritage Cutlery shears are some of the nicest values I've found. You might try something like these--I have the stainless non-serrated version and they're fantastic high-leverage shears.

These kevlar shears are made in the USA, fully forged, and only about $60

How precise do you need? I'd think a pair of felco pruners would do the job, and be easy to re-sharpen.
