Newbie question. . .

What's the different?
Which one is better, under what circumstance?
Which one is more expensive?
How could I know which one should I go for. . .

(It's really new to me that we can do sheath with CF, . . .I owned a few handgun Kydex holsters)

Santi,

If you are referring to Mike Sastre's sheaths, they are made from Concealex, which may have a carbon fibre (CF) pattern. Many sheath makers seem to prefer Concealex to Kydex for a variety of reasons not the least being the variety of colours and patterns avaiable.

Don't worry that the world might end tomorrow....in Australia it's tomorrow already.

So, you mean it's not a real CF.
But actually it's the Kydex/Concealex with CF pattern?

Santi,

The Carbon Fiber Concealex is a pattern and contains no carbon fiber, but many people like it for its looks. The patterned Concealex costs more than the regular Concealex, so there is a slightly higher price per sheath. Concealex has a higher Rockwell than kydex and a smoother inner surface, so as far as I'm concerned, it makes a better product for my customers.

Mike
