Hello --
I was checking out the Buck Knives web site the other day when I noticed that a change has been made in the Diamondback sheath.
Here's a picture of a Diamondback 4.25 with the (I guess) original hard-molded sheath, without retention strap:
Below is an image of the Diamondback with what I guess is the new sheath style for Diamondbacks, taken from the Diamondback 4.25 web page at Buck Knives:
Can anyone from Buck tell me why there's been a change in the sheath style for Diamondbacks? Was there something wrong with the original hard-molded, friction-fitted sheath? Should I upgrade to the new sheath for safety and/or more knife protection?
Thanks for your reply,
GeoThorn
