Hi folks,
I'm new to this site, so I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask the question, but here goes... I bought my son a Sharpfinger, and it's a great knife, but, the sheath sucks bigtime!!! First time he put the knife in, it sliced through the sheath, on the side that lies against the body! Thank goodness he wasn't wearing it at the time!! I'm reasonably handy with leatherwork, and am going to make another sheath for it, but rather than re-invent the wheel, was hoping that someone out there may already have a design they would be willing to share? Our knives are used for hunting (obviously!), and need a sheath that protects the wearer in the event of a fall, as well as keep thye knife safe from being dislodged by tree branches, scrub, etc.

Thanks in advance,

Peter

I believe that Normark makes an excellent Concealex sheath for the Sharpfinger. I can't recommend his work too highly; my F1 lives in a Normark Concealex sheath and goes wherever I go. Do a search on this forum for Normark and Sharpfinger. I agree about the quality of the Sharpfinger sheath :barf:. I replaced the otherwise excellent plastic handles on my Sharpfinger with a leather lace wrap to save weight, made up a simple blade/edge protector out of stiff latigo leather, and stuffed it into my daypack survival kit. Great little blade, good tough 1095 steel and an enduring design.
