YMMV
The song "Dreamer" sung by Hinda Hoffman happens to be playing :

So I go on asking maybe one day you will care [Cold Steel you $*%^&5&*%]
I am quite hopeless it seems; two things I know how to do; one is to dream, two is loving you.
Why do I dream silly dreams that I fear won't come true. [Cold Steel makes an edge friendly sheath].

So all I want is to carry my Cold Steel Pendleton Mini Hunter in 3V without the sheath dulling the edge. Is that so wrong ? I ask you : Is that so much to ask ?
I have been eying the Maraknivs for a likely sheath that would allow me to drop the little devil above into it without having to cut off the rubber finger guard.

I ordered this one. All of ten dollars shipped and it even comes with a free plain high carbon knife. Then, hahahaha, I got the order and there were two knives in the box. I was ordering some other stuff and put the knife in twice. Oh darn; now I have two highly useful sheaths.

Turns out they lock together, see that photo, so why not . . . I could even carry my full size Pendleton Hunter in 3V and the Mini together piggy backed.
Hmmmmmm . . . .

Anyway lots of photos and for a change I will cut out the verbiage.
PS: the sheath clips on so no belt threading required; works with climbing shorts that don't have belt loops (shown). I just got them and haven't carried but one day with the mini and the sheath down in my pocket / not clipped.
Success !
The edge didn't get dulled.

PPS: Do you have an Opinel that locks up solid into a fixed blade every time it gets a single rain drop on the pivot ?
Morakniv to the rescue.
Well that's a different sheath but you get the idea.

Very good idea, how is the knives retention ? Did you have to do some mods ?
No mods.
The full size Pendleton Hunter fits perfectly and clicks in like a Big 'O Dog !
The Mini Hunter kind of wedges down in there and as long as you don't do hand springs should be fine. You could run down a hill and not have it jump out. It does slap a bit and makes a click sound now and then.
The Opinel kind of feels like the handle sticks up a bit too far but serviceable. It wedges in some and would be handy around camp to put away and pull out often but one probably could not run down a hill and still have it stay put.

Nice! I love the Mora sheaths, and the knives for that matter. The may not be fancy or tactical, but they're as practical as they can be.

Yep. The ones that came with these sheaths are surprisingly thin (which is good for me) and like I said Plain Carbon, decent edge geometry. Good stuff. These handles are less grippy than I expected and a bit on the slick side. I, for some reason, thought they might be more rubber like and less plastic but really though they are very usable and unbelievably good for the price.

From what knife did you take the sheath for your Opinel ? If it get stuck every time it gets damp you can try to wax the pivot it is much better than oil and it is water resistant.

Witch model did you get ? I have the Kansbol, the companion HD and the Robust, they all have a good rubber grip over the plastic handle not like the Garberg that is all hard plastic. I think in the Craftline series the Robust and the pros are the only one with Rubber overlay all the other are solid plastic and are quite slippery when wet.
