I'm trying to find a sheath for the mule. Would the sheath for a RAT 3 work? Is there any sheath known to work? I don't want to have to make one myself, I don't know how.

Maybe have Scott Sheaths make one. The sheath for the Swick is excellent. Reasonably priced too.

I also makes Boltaron/Concealex Sheaths.

Apologies to anyone I did not list. If you would like to be listed, let me know, and when I build the sheath portion of the Mule Projects Blog at http://muleprojects.blogspot.com/, I will link to you.

I just built the Sheath Page..... http://muleprojects.blogspot.com/ at the bottom...

I was looking for something in my spare parts box to use for my Mule until I get around to sending it out for grips and sheath and discovered the cheap plastic sheaths that came with my CRKT Polkowski/Kasper fixed blade work perfectly. Since I'm just using the sheath to protect the blade in the kitchen drawer I might just stop there.

I would imagine the reason you don't see premade sheath options online much, is because of whole handle, or lack thereof, deal. Most good Kydex or Leather sheaths at least cover a part of the handle, and that makes up an integral part of the fit. However, nobody knows how you handled your knife, unless you hand it over to them, which isn't cost or time effective. Do you have yours wrapped in paracord? Two layers of cord? Big bulky burl handle for cutting comfort? Thin micarta for carrying comfort? etc...

That's part of the fun of the mules, though. I plan on picking up some leather this week and having a go at it myself.

Even with full-size custom wood handles, those sheath stretch to fit perfectly

A bare Mule is a little loose in the Clovis sheath, but it's better than the cardboard.

Scott Gere does amazing work and is great to deal with  Mine came with stainless hardware and a G-clip.
