I had some extra leather laying around so i made a neck sheath for my Opinel #7.
The main body is made from a single piece of suede leather laced with a thong of the same material.The "clasp" for lack of a better term is a silver Celtic cross held in place by a heavy gold ring from a gold pocket watch.I brushed the sheath,fringes and neck loop with boiling wax for durability.I used my Opinel #8 to shape the sheath around so the #7 fits perfectly.The bottom of the sheath I left soft so I could push the knife out to aid in taking it out.
I've been wearing it for a few days now and I've been complimented on how it looks so I must have done a good job.Also,I have since shortened the fringes cause they were getting tangled in my clothes at work.
