This is a sheath for Art Sigmon's leather inlayed Sebenza. I tried to match the color of the leather inlays. This is my first with a flap and snap, Art insisted on it. BTW, beautiful knife.

And the back.
As always, I'd like to thank Gary Graley for the inspiration and advice.

..........totaly AWESOME job! I wait with great anticipation to receive this beauty!:D Again you must be a mind reader as that is exactly what I had envisioned. Now, I have this wood inlayed Classic , a MT Halo, and a..............................well you get the idea, I plan on keeping you BUSY! :D

Very nice Dave! I already sent you an e-mail this morning before I saw these pictures. BTW, do you have a picture of one of your sheaths without the flap and snap? Thanks.

Lifter,

Do you have anything covering the back side of the snap? Reason I'm asking is that all the sheaths I have with a snap end up scratching the knife, so now when I get one with a snap, I cut them out or glue a thin piece of leather over the backside.

I'll answer for Dave and say that yes the backside of the snap is covered. Not sure what Lifter used, think he said felt, but I know that he did cause he told he did!:)

btw, I've had sheaths where I had to do as you did and cover the snap. Otherwise they mar the bolsters something terrible.

Thanks for the compliments. Yes the underside of the snap is covered with self adhesive felt. Home Depot sells it for putting under jewelry boxes etc., and the glue is very strong. I have used it for production sheaths to protect my own carry knives for years. You just cut the size you need and peel and stick.

Hey Art, I just thought you might be interested to learn that I ordered two of Lifer's sheaths! Thanks for the tip.

Dang, I never thought of felt. Now I don't have a good excuse for all the small holes in my wifes purse:D

I am already thinking about a couple of more and the first one ain't even back yet!

Methinks Dave is about to get some buisness!:D :D :D

Kisu, I thought of the felt after I saw the nasty gouge in Art's kni........nah, just kidding.:D
Thanks for the orders guys.

Great looking sheath. Bet that flap-n-snap really secures the knive.

AJ

The sheaths are tight so the knives aren't going anywhere plus it rides at a slight upward tilt. Personally I prefer the ones without the flap, but the flap is best if you worry about scratches.

Thank you for the compliments.

............its more AWESOME than the pics show. Everything is top rate. Every stitch, every edge, perfect color match to the leather inlays in the Sebbie, perfect form fit of the knife in the sheath, rides on my belt just right, I mean what more can I say. IT'S PERFECT!!:D :D :D

If you want a sheath contact Dave, he 'da MAN!

Wow, Dave, great job!!
