Recommendation? Sheath for Carothers Medium Chopper

[I am bleeding]

I know it’s a “medium” chopper, but it’s a big knife. The kydex sheath it comes with is very nice, but I hate kydex for all but small fixed blade horizontal belt cross draw. And a big knife like the MC with vertical belt carry is kind of cumbersome. I was thinking something like the pictured sheath. It’s from Sagewood Gear, but it’s for the CPK Behemoth. They don’t do one for the MC unless there are multiple peeps interested and I can put together a group order (anyone interested?, please post or PM me). So this leads me to the question, is there a craftsman on this forum who will make me a similar sheath of his own interpretation for this knife, or can someone steer me in the right direction? I understand high cost of custom things and also wait times for in demand craftsmen. Thanks for any help you can give. I appreciate it.

Hit up @Makael, he will do you right when it comes to a leather sheath. He's made some for my CPKs, Beckers and BHKs. Excellent quality and beautiful sheaths.

We build a custom sheath for the behemoth chopper and could build a sheath for the medium chopper if you sent your knife to us. We use 6oz premium veg tanned drum dyed leather and mold the sheath to your knife for a prefect fit at approx half the weight of a similar kydex sheath with tek lok. Our sheaths come with a 1.5 inch belt loop and are very comfortable to wear and use.
