Thanks for the positive comments everyone.

I'm really liking my new basket weave stamp from Jeremiah Watt / Horseshoe Brand Tools. It seems to make much more highly defined impressions than I am used to with my Tandy stamps.

The knife turned out real well too.

Just answered my own question saw the post over in customs. Yep its Thuya. Michael thats one of the good things about the better stamps it makes a clearer, cleaner more burnished impression.

I suggest you keep making more like it. It's beautiful. I usually don't go for tooled leather, but I'd hang that sheath on my belt any day. Beautiful knife, too.

Great looking knife and sheath. The basket weave looks great and I like how the stitch color contrasts with the leather.
