Hi guys..
I recently made this sheath for the DV-2 I'd like to show you.

It has a 0.125" kydex liner, and is covered in halftanned leather.

some in progress pics

I sure enjoy looking at your work, and this is another great looking sheath. Thanks for posting it!

Nice work. I really like this style.
What do you colour the leather with? Do you have problems with the colour rubbing off? Top coat?

Thanks guys.

@ SBranson
I use Fiebings professional oil dye and finish with sno-seal.
the dye penetrates deeply and won't rub off.

Those are starting to grow on me Martin....that one would look pretty cool with the btm. corner left on with an eyelet going through it...just thinking out loud.

Thanks mate..
You wanting an EXTRA eyelet just made my day..
Halleluja :D
I appriciate it a lot.

But you are right. That would be a great option.
I decided to keep the front clean and accentuate the length of the blade. On the back there's a beltloop with below it a daisy chain that runs to the bottom of the sheath to provide extra tiedown points..

I must say that does look very nice and practical.
Over here is Australia we haev contracted SORD Australia to try to come up with some sort of molle copatable sheath for the DV-2. Reason being that many of troops are interested in the knife but the leather sheath is just not good enough for conditions here. So we shall wait and see what they will come up with. I shall post some images once we have something from them. In the past they did peretty good job by designing us a nylon molle compatable sheath from combat knives, which was well recived by the troops.
