Very nice! I made my first leather sheath in the fold over style, but I like this better. Can you tell me what the name of the stud thing is for the retainer strap?

Thx - I have a Tandy nearbyIt’s called a button stud. I get them from Tandy. The ones I use are typically screw type but they also make a rivet version.
You may want to get the punch to go with them. It makes the hole and the slit at the same time.Thx - I have a Tandy nearby![]()
Tandy also carries the Sam Browne but it’s a rivet fit rather than screw fit.They're also known as a Sam Browne stud if you look for them outside of Tandy. I use a punch and then a half inch wood chisel to make the slit. An all in one punch would be handy.
