Sheath for Leatherman Juice

So I'm told that the sheath that Leatherman makes for the Juice line pretty much sucks.

Has anyone found a generic sheath or a sheath made for something else that works well for a Juice?

I think the Juice sheath is first rate. Whats not to like? Nice leather, stretchy sides, good snap, under $10 shipped. I use mine every day and its been good. The only thing I would change is if it had a belt loop rather than hook, but nevertheless it is very secure on the belt.

I think the sheath to which the OP is referring is a molded plastic "sheath" that was available (at least at one time, if not still.) I've read bad reviews of them.

I'm surprised that you guys use sheaths for your Juice models—especially the smaller "Juices" and especially those of you who also own full size multitools. If I have a sheath, a couple of additional ounces isn't noticed. May as well carry something bigger.

I put a Nite-Ize Eclipse (locking clip) on a Vic Spirit, and it carries very comfortably. It would be perfect for a Juice. I have a S2 and KF4. I haven't carried either in a while. If I did, they would get clips.

Edited to add: I just noticed from his pics that Powernoodle's Juice is fairly heavy and fat, and why a sheath makes sense for it.

I have 2 of the Juice models and always pocket carried them when I needed them.

I usually only sheath carry the big boys - I hate having stuff on my belt.

They do fit nicely in the watch pocket of jeans.

I'm told that because it is a hook instead of a loop it commonly falls off of the belt. Not so with yours?

Hey 2500, mine does not fall off, but I can see how it could get knocked off your belt. Its pretty secure, but a standard belt loop would be better IMO.

Belt clip? Don't trust it.

I lost a cell phone due to a belt clip I thought was secure that just popped off one day.

The only safe thing to do is to clip it inside a pocket, or order a proper sheath.

i pocket carried mine with my keys for 3 years before upgrading it to the belt to make room for other toys in the pockets. now it goes back and forth depending on load out and mood of the day. :-)

That is exactly what I'm looking for, but I can't find it on Bass' website. Is the brand actually "Red Head" ???

that's right. the store by me still has them. might be worth a look. they are near the knives and holsters.

I know this is an old thread, but I've recently started carrying a Juice S2 and love it, I actually have two. The first time I used the sheath it kept slipping off my belt. I like that it is slim, and otherwise seems well constructed, but I don't like the security of the belt clip.

So - I made it a belt LOOP. I drilled through the clip, and secured it with a fabric rivet. I have just ordered leather rivets (rapid rivets and tool from Tandy Leather), and another sheath, so I'm sure the next will come out better. The price is right for the sheath at $6.10 shipped.

Anyway, the sheath is nice and secure now. I think this made a nice sheath better.
