I made the knife, then I made the sheath.

I have made only a couple dozen sheaths in my life this is the first I have done with a molded belt loop.

Specs:

Wayne Juesche Geometric Stamp
Ellis Barnes lined seeder stamp and checkered beveler
HTA "Promise" border stamp
9 oz Hermann Oak leather
Waxed thread

All the thread is protected with stitching channels inside.

It looks good.... I have almost no experience with leather so I apologize if it's a dumb question but how is that much contrast achieved? Was the leather already colored/stained and then your punches removed it.... or was the stain added to "high spots" afterwords?

The natural color is the lighter one. Then I use a block dye technique to hit the raised areas.

Your precision with the geometric stamps is very good, and the resist technique with the contrast is also waayyy above average. Good Job!

It's beautiful and well made. Like the crosses and the patterns on the leather shows great workmanship. Great job!
