Hi.
I was hoping someone may be able to give me some advice or even a picture of the type of sheath that would have originally been supplied with a CRK skinner made in South Africa. I believe this knife was sold by Chris without a sheath just before his move to the USA!
It does now have a sheath, but I would like to have one custom made more in keeping with the quality of the knife. I have a maker in mind, he asked a pertinent question regarding the style of sheath that would normally have been supplied.

A couple of pics of the knife and the current sheath.

Is there anyone who can help me?
Thank you in anticipation,
Nick

I own two of the skinners along with the Bird & Trout ( that resembles a steak knife ). When I purchased the knives from Chris & Anne they provided one of the original Chris Reeve catalogs that were 8.5" x 11" Card stock material. In the catalog it showed a pouch style sheath. If you would like I can forward via email the picture I took of the two skinners sitting on top of the appropriate page showing a pouch style sheath.

While I don't anticipate ever using the knives, I might be interested in purchasing the "correct" style of sheaths for them as well.

Nick,

Sent the pictures to the email address in your profile AND the one in your email message. The one in your profile bounced so hopefully the one in the body of your message got through.

Please let me know if you don't receive the pictures.

Pictures recieved, many thanks. You sure have some fine knives in you collection! I will post the pics of the new sheath when complete.

I was looking for a nice simple clean looking sheath to match the knife without any embelishments or complications, and imho it's spot on!
The maker goes by the name rapidboy on British Blades. (not sure if he's a member here, but I would guess so)
Thank you for your interest,
Nick :)
