I've been looking for an upgrade sheath for one of my favorite users, the Ontario SP6 Fighting Knife. I just wanted to let you know that I tried the SPEC-OPS Combat Master and it works well.

I got mine from Brigade Quartermaster (P/N BMD780305) but I'm sure it's available other places, too.

The sheath has too much velcro for my taste. Not really a problem, except perhaps on the utility pouch. But it's plenty long enough, and fits the SP6 contours really well.

All in all, I think it's a good sheath for the knife.

I have the same sheath for my Covington Combat Special. The blade length is 7.75". The blade fits snugly even without using the velcro retaining strap. The utility pouch holds a diamond sharpening stone, some fish hooks, a magnesium/flint rod, and a locking Victorinox SAK.

Normark: No thanks. I like the kydex-in-cordura combination just fine.--Bear
