I need a sheath for my Ratmandu.

I'm trying to make up my mind between kydex or leather.

Which one did all of you go with? What made you choose one over the other. Everybody please feel free to post pics!

If anybody could point me in the direction of a sheath maker that has one in house I would appreciate it. I don't want to have to mail mine out.

Mine is the regular Ratmandu. Not custom, not infidu, not beefmandu. Just plain old Ratmandu.

Thanks!

AD, I've gone with kydex with most of my carbon knives, Rats and RMD included. One reason at the forefront of all others is that leather tends to 'store' moisture in it which leads to rust...

As to makers... in no particular order: Azwelke, Buy Brown, J&G Designs, PawPaw to name a few :D

I like leather.
Got mine from Rainwalker.
I got lucky - he made if for someone else, who later changed his order. So it was on hand, reduced, and fit like a glove. But I doubt that happens often.

Among a number of sheaths I have for RMDs I have a SpecOps with a custom thin kydex liner.... this one I really like !!!!! :D

I went with both :)

Kydex leather mutant :)

I went with the SpecOps sheath, I'm really happy with it! Not sure if I just got lucky but the liner fit the blade perfectly. :)
