Trying to decide on either Mashedcat or Chuddy and I'd like to see, if anyone has them, pics of a TM DSF rig or two.

Thanks

I was leaning towards, SOB or drop leg.

I carry mine in a kydex sheath from azwelke handle down on my hip. This way it's easy to reach for and qiute concealed.

Al - azwelke, makes awesome kydex sheaths with perfect fit and finish!
He's very helpful and friendly.:thumbup::thumbup:
And has very good prices!

Not leather but food for thought...

Spec Ops Brand Combat Master sheath size "long" with a custom insert made by AZWelke.

I can't really speak for a TM DSF, but I was rocking my NMSFNO in a Chuddy Bear sheath. While I admire the quality of work of leather crafters, especially Chuddy's, I find that they really add alot of weight and volume to a carry system. For me, it was quite unpleasant to carry with it due to its weight but more so because of it's bulkiness. Carrying it on my belt pulled my belt and pants down alot. They are very thick. Now I carry a SARsquatch in a kydex drop sheath (I think it's Okuden) and am MUCH happier. It's only a 1 inch shorter blade and .187 compared to .25 from the NMSFNO, but it's a night and day difference. The Chuddy is 1 inch thick and the kydex is about 1/3 inches thick or less. Having experienced both now, I will go kydex everytime. There is something to be said about good quality leather work, but for my purposes I prefer kydex all the way.

I have seen Chuddy bear sheaths, and they are quite solid, as you describe. They are not to my taste either, but many others swear by them. Not all leather sheaths are equally boxy, however; so let's not paint with too broad a brush. I have a leather sheath by Stuart Branson for an NMFBM that is a single layer taco style, and it's a great design, light and functional.
