Ok so I've decided on a scrofa from the company store (wish I just ordered the damn thing when it came out) to be my primary everyday carry knife while I'm in afhganistan later this year. I need a durable but not to bulky sheath. I've been looking at kydex ones but I've broken more than a few kydex sheaths(particularly were the belt loop connects to the sheath itself) it's not from abuse but when you put all that damn gear on you way 250 to 300 then it gets sat on in a humvee and various other incidentals. I guess my question is there a kydex sheath that holds up to hard wear and use??? If so does anyone have a pic thanks alot really appreciate it.

i've never broken a mashedcat sheath or oku's but then again i try not to let hummers drive over me.

Okuden all the way.

These are my SAR knives and in addition to being hauled throught the woods also get sat on and knocked around in vehicles.

Here are some pics as requested

+1 for Okuden.

In terms of structural strength, and fit and finish, Brian is without question in a class by himself.

Tek-loks are nice because you can replace it easily:thumbup:

STEELNUT AND OKUDEN all the way BRO, take from a fellow brother in ARMS. Go with a tek lok as steel nut says, worse case scenario you can replace the tek lok clip. I would suggest mounting it on a drop leg rig of some kind, if you dont carry a pistol, id suggest maybe a drop leg mag rig, that way you get your knife down below your IBA. if you carry a pistol mounting it behind the pistil works great as well. i carried a CR green beret 5.5 inch on a blackhawk drop holster , on an OKUDEN sheath and i was very happy with it.

A Sus Scrofa may be to small for an independent drop leg. I had a hard time talking Brian into doing one for a BATAC. However mounting it to a pistol drop leg would work well as others have commented. Also If you order from Okuden he does have Molle Locks available as an option.

i haven't had the chance to test all the makers we have on our forum but from what i see they all look good and sturdy. also i'm sure all of them stand 100% behind their work.

Never had a broken sheath.

Have had a very few holsters broken, run over, & what not.

No problem though if you break a Buy Brown sheath or holster, you are covered. Period. :D
