I don't know if this is in the right section or not but here goes -

I'm looking for a blank Sheath Knife wih blade lngth around 6" or so. I've been looking at some Para-Cord wrapped Hilts and have handle several. These type of grips feel reakly good ta me and was wondering where can I find a knife bkank that is not finished 100% but something that I can sharpen the first time.
I also will be needing a sheath, material unknown at this time. I'm on a fixed income and what I've read so far has interested me ta trying my hand at making my own knife.
I do have some metal working skills from jobs in the past and areas of public work. I'd like ta wrap the Hilt in Para-Cord for I used ta help my dad replace eyes on his fishing rods. He taught me how ta wrap the eyes on the rod and then how ta use the tag end ta pull through loop under eyelet.
If anyone has any information let me know for i'd like ta try this just once ta see if I can do it or not.

You could buy a kit knife - just Google it, there are plenty about.
These come in varying states and finish - in some cases without handle slabs/scales.

Another option is to yank the handle of a knife and wrap it (then of course you wont have the chance to put the first edge on the knife though).

...but (and there is always a but)....

Be warned, paracord can be uncomfortable as a handle material on a knife.

I went through a paracord knife handle phase. Its fun to wrap a knife and I still have loads of different paracord rolls and make bracelets and stuff, I just dont care for paracord wrapped knife handles anymore after having used the paracord wrapped knife handles for practical work.

A cord wrapped handle is better then nothing, but thats about it.

The cord is uncomfortable when used on a hard use knife (especially for those who like to baton etc. Ive used a knife for batoning, but dont see it as my lifes mission).
Cord is deceidedly unsanitary, when used for a certain kinds of work.
If used for hunting, goo and gore gets lodged in between the strands of cord. It can get very messy and you HAVE to take the cord after EVERY use (or risk a health hazard), clean it and re-wrap the handle. That part gets old fast (especially if you use your knife a lot).

Yep, paracord grips get uncomfortable fast with use. They also get really nasty when they get wet or when they absorb other liquids.
