Different weights for different sizes of knives, you damascus poundin bastid. My advice would be to contact Ron Roy at this email address: ChewyToy1@aol.com and order some of the leather he has. All vegetable tanned in various weights, shapes and sizes. You won't find a better price either. In my opinion, that is. Always use vegetable tanned if you can. It's the easiest to work with for sheaths, and won't cause any reaction with the steel in my experience.
