Sheath made from birch for a custom Japanese Style Chef Knife

I bought this japanese style custom Chef knife made Finnish bladesmith Jani Ryynänen. I found the sheath quite nice detail as chef knives rarely have one and this one is made from birch. The sheath has a good fit as you can turn the knife upsidedown and shake it hard, yet it does not drop. It sorts of locks to its place. Anyways, wanted to just share that.

Birch is one of my very favorite woods to look at. I much prefer light colored/white woods. I've seen some pretty cool bamboo pieces but that's really something cool.
