I need some help improving my sheaths. Does anyone know of any books that are dedicated to sheath making. Or just some good sections on the subject would be good.

Thanks,
Troy

If you're talking about leather sheaths, there are some of the best instructions in the book: How to Make Knives by Bob Loveless and Richard Barney.
There is a chapter on fixed blade pouch sheaths and a chapter on Moran style sheaths with a strap.

If there is a Tandy or Leather Factory store near you talk to them. Most give hands on classes in Leatherwork
Money well spent!

Dan Gray's Knivesby.com site has several tutorials including mine (Wild Rose) on how to sew and make a mex loop sheath (which is easily adapted to a standard loop) and Dan's own pouch sheath tutorial whioch is one of the best I've ever seen, much better than the Loveless book IMO. http://www.knivesby.com/knifemaking.html - scroll down to the Knifemaking Tutorials and then Sheaths

Tandy/LF has a book - "The art of Making Cases Vol 2" has some sheath making info.

The Knifenetwork has a forum dedicated to sheath making (I'm a mod) and there's LOTS of info - http://knifenetwork.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=16

Finally Center Cross Instructional Videos will have their new Custom Sheath Making video/DVD ready to go in the next couple of weeks - featuring yours truly :D - this is a two disc set with over four hours of sheathmaking info and as a bonus you'll get to see me in 2d living color
