I am in the process of getting a few supplies for making a kydex sheath or two. Any tips on making them and where to buy parts and what is needed.

Have you asked over in the sheath makers forum?
I get mine anywhere it is cheapest... You need good neoprene pads and a sort of press to form it well...

I ordered my stuff from Knifekits.com, to include the flaring die/guide and two 12" squares of xtremeform molding foam. I heated the kydex in the oven slowly, then placed it on the foam, put a cutting board over the top and sat on it for a few min. It worked great.

When drilling holes and placing the rivets I found drilling one hole and fitting a rivet loosely will allow for easy access, by allowing the sheath to swivel, as to drill and clean the edges of the remaining holes. Also consider how you want to fit the belt clip. I taped a small piece of plastic to inside edge of the blade before pressing to create a pocket for the screws to fit to the tek-loc belt clip. You don't want anything to be scratching the blade when you draw the knife.

This is what I made last week.
