Here as you can see I added this e*** pouch to the bk2 sheath..I am having problems with trying to figure out what I can use for a ferro holder though..I can't locate any regular cable clamps that are the black nylon and I have gone just about anywhere that has electronics..but to no avail..every site that I have looked on wants you to buy in bulk..no dice. More changes on they're way...my 2 was looking mighty plain so here this is for now.

How about ordering a small piece of kydex? It'd be really simple since it's so small. All you'd need is some foam pad and probabaly some vice grips then drill the hole.

Maybe this?

I can send u a lil scrap piece of Kydex if u want. Enuff to do a loop or 2. I wld shape it for ya but it wld be tricky without the 'steel

I found black cable clamps at True Value Hardware. They had them in the plastic slide out trays in the back of the store. Spent 20 cents each. I believe they mount with 4mm screws. Hope this helps

The old cable clamp firesteel holder has become popular. I got mine at ACE Hardware, but had to buy a whole bag of them.

eh, buy the whole bag. you know you're going to use them :)

or find some nice flexible black plastic from something you're going to throw out anyway, and cut strips... mmm, various soda bottle plastics work well. i seem to recall making some stuff with that and it lasted a long time.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. One thing I thought about doing was using a strip of boot leather..idk.. I think kydex would however be the ultimate option...I keep hearing multiple accounts that a heat gun has to be used...and that a blow dryer works..is the blow dryer thing true?

shouldn't need it for a loop. cut it to length, then pop it in ur toaster-oven/oven at 350 for a few minutes 'til it's soft...then wrap it around your firesteel 'til it cools. very ruff&reddy instructions but u get the drift

A heat gun WILL come in handy eventually. If you look around you can find them cheap. I think I got mine from Harbor Frieght for $12. Comes in handy when you need to tighten up some kydex.

Cool..harbor is pretty close to my house. Thanks for all the help and suggestions..and happy saint pattys day!

Seriously? I had to pay 70 for mine...and it was the cheapest one there...
