Sheath mounting question.

I was looking at the Ka-Bar brand of knives the other day and came across this item:

Short KA-BAR Black Tanto

Anyway, check out the sheath that comes with it. This is my first knife purchase, so I'm a bit of a noob at this sort of thing. Would I be able to mount that sheath horizontally on my belt? If not that sheath, then is there one that gives me the capability to do that?

Thanks for the help!

Can not get to the sight. (I disable my windows explorer software in my registry when I am online.)

If that sheath does not carry horizontally, it would not be difficult or too expensive to have one made or even find one in the aftermarket.

BTW. Welcome to BF. I hope you enjoy it here.

Which one, the leather one of the GFN?
In the case of the leather one, I'd say it would be more trouble than its worth.
In the case of the glass-filled nylon sheath, you could rig it to mount horizontally, although that sheath is a hanging sheath intended to drop down from a belt and strap to a leg. If you want a horizontal sheath, get one made out of Kydex. It will be nicer than having to Gerry-rig some bullsh!t, and smaller/more compact.
