So...I've been watching for a runt on Fridays for the past 6 months, but no luck...I was always too late. However, yesterday was my lucky day. I picked up a sweet, thin, little runt. Ok, now to my question. For all of you that own a runt, what kind of sheath do you use for it? Can you recommend a specific maker? I have Heber sheaths for my hiking buddy and kephart, but not sure he makes one for the runt. Ideally, I'd like to have either a neck sheath, or a minimalist style that would fit in a pocket. Any help, suggestions, or photos would be appreciated.

mine rides in a pocket sheath from knivesshipfree

I had Rick Lowe make me a couple and I carry one of my runts almost everyday in a horizontal sheath from Rick. I can post up a pic later. I also have a neck sheath but don't care for that carry method, I use one of the sheaths Vance mentioned for some other knives and like them for pocket carry but for the runt I prefer the horizontal belt sheath.

Mine rides in an RLO sheath as well, but with a belt loop in case I want to carry it on the hip in addition to the pocket.

Rick is also very quick, I sent my first Runt to him as he didn't have a pattern at the time and he still had a couple of sheaths made and in the mail to me in just a couple of days for a price that was more than fair. Mine Look just like Thurin and Justdrifting's sheaths except that the one I use regularly has a horizontal loop.

As mentioned above Rick will do anything you want, I have requested modifications to some of his standard sheaths in the past and he is always happy to incorporate changes.

I need a new sheath now as I bought a 3/32 super thin Runt from Andy a while back and it's a bit loose in the sheaths I have now and I will definitely be ordering from Rick Lowe he is a great guy to deal with.

I'd be happy to make a sheath for your Runt. Can do just about any way you like. Email me at ruger315@charter.net with any questions.

thanks to you guys for all the great comments! It's always a pleasure working with Andy's customers.

Sounds like Rick can hook you up. :)

If you want something else and don't mind sending your blade in for fitting, I can build you a sheath.

By the way, Those sheaths and knives are pretty cool!

Sky storm- thanks for the Pm, you make tons of nice looking sheaths!
Vance- I've seen those on ksf but they appear large for a pants pockt
Rick- your sheaths are definitely lookers and I respect the opinions of fiddleback owners, they really admire your work.
Heber- so happy with the 2 sheaths I bought from you. They will withstand anything! However I think I'd like to try a slightly different style for this runt. But I appreciate the offer.

Glad to hear it! :) I look forward to seeing what you and the sheath maker come up with!
