Hi,

I created a sheath of BWM by myself in kydex.
This sheath disintegrates, and cleaning of the inside is possible.
Thank you for looking!

cool, now all you need is some scotch so you can get it back together again! does it come with tools?

you know it's funny, that seems like an obvious feature (using chicago screws in place of rivets) to aid in cleaning, but I never once thought of it as an option.

Awesome job!

I really like the belt loop - never seen webbing looped through a teklok - such a simple yet perfect way to mount one!!!

Thank you for a reply, everybody!

Yes. This sheath disintegrates again and again and can assemble it.

Looks good especially for your first sheath, and the screws for taking it apart to clean is a great added touch.

Yes. This sheath disintegrates again and again and can assemble it.

The correct word is "disassembles", meaning each component part can be removed and "reassembled" or put back together. The base word "assemble" meaning to put together.

"disintegrates" is closer to "break" or fall apart, something that deteriorates because of old age or corrosion, like a peice of hard sugar candy that breaks into powder when you bite it.

I'm going to see how a taco style sheath handles with just screws and bolts when I make my tank buster and nmfbm sheath in the next couple of weeks. A novel, yet seemingly old style of sheath making

Wow, lurking here for over five years and you finally made your first post. :D

Welcome and congratulations!

Very smart being able to take the sheath apart. I have often wondered why no one builds them that way. Scrapyard had some that I thought came apart that I was waiting on for my S5LE but those never came about. It really trashes a knife when you get sand and crap caught in kydex. I have made a few sheaths and might have to try this now. It is a big knife to mold without the good foam. Maybe one of the kydex builders would sell a molded and cutout sheath with screws instead of rivets!!

Member DavidE is a kydex bender that makes a taco style with removable fasteners on the one side to allow cleaning.

Welcome aboard Bro!!! All you need now is a Busse and kydex on one hip and a scotch bottle holder in kydex for the other hip, then your good to go out for a chop and slop!!!
