Thought I'd post a picture of the sheath I made for forum member MAKnifenut. He was the winner of the GAW I did a while back and the sheath is shipping today. He wanted a sheath for his Kabar Short and my son happened to have one so he didn't have to send his knife. The sheath is nothing fancy but it should last him a while. I added a border stamp to dress it up a bit. The top of the sheath has a leather tie that can be slipped on and off the pommel to keep the handle from leaning out but the tie can easily be removed. I also added a small notch so the retention strap can be tucked out of the way for drawing the knife.

yeah, nothing fancy about that, you just stitched two pieces of wonder together with a fistful of awesomeness and had done with it...too easy really :)
 
Humph! Damned snap is not even polished!:D
love that slot to hold the strap back! That's a great practical touch I have never seen. Tho I have seen several straps cut off, or nearly off,because they were in the way! Love the whole thing!
