Well, let me say these pictures are horrible, I just couldn't wait to post.

I posted this knife a little while back, and finally got the sheath done for it. I generally do hand stitched pouch type sheaths, and this is my first attempt at anything complex......well it sure as heck was complex for me, and took forever, but i enjoyed, and hope to make the next a bit better.

This sheath is almost 3/4'' thick at the welt, It has a double layer welt, everything is all hand saddle stitched. Well here it is.

looks awesome man!
I like the way you drop the sheath so you can wear it with a pack. Good thinking. Tough sob too, I'll bet.

Thanks Lorien, I also anticipated making this adaptable for a shoulder rig, but my fingers are tired of stitching, so I have a nice chopper in the works that's gonna get that shoulder set up. and also be able to be worn on the hip if prefered.

thanks again

It looks really good. Did you use the same leather for the inlays that you used for the rest of the sheath?

Thanks Keith, Yes I did, it's also tooled a bit for texture, I had some thinner stuff, but it's a big knife, and I figured the heavier duty sheath would suite it better.

thanks again

That's a great looking sheath, compliments the knife well.
Knife looks quite the handful as well must have missed it the first time around.

That's a good looking sheath, and you are right, it is a complex design --- great work!
