As I look into getting a fixed blade knife( $100-$150 range) I find, there are not many makers that offer attractive leather sheaths for the left handed. At best we get ambidextrous plastic. I have considered having a sheath made by a leather worker over the net (I cant seem to find one in my area) but can't put my finger on the right one. Any thoughts, advice would are appreciated.

All of my leather sheaths are right handed, it's not a big nuissance to me. But, you're not going to find a production knife with a left handed leather sheath, there would be no profit in that when you consider the amount of left handed people who are also in the knife buying market. I can't bring myself to pay for a sheath that cost as much as the knife did though, so I just learned to deal with a right handed sheath.

I learned to make my own. They aren't pretty, but they work very well for my uses. Being a lefty means you learn to adapt.

I am a lefty and the first sheath I made turned out righty:o didn't even notice it till I had it all stitched together, so now I have a right and left handed sheath for the same knife
