Sheath question (#1264 & #1273)

Does anybody know if the kydex #1264 Tanto sheath will fit the #1273 KBD1 knife? I found out the hard way that the kydex sheath for a #1217 C/U sized blade will not fit the KBD1.

I have a KBD1 that needs a sheath, and since one is available for trade, I wanted to see if any of you fine folks have the two models and can compare for me.

The KBD-1 had its own sheath. The 1264 sheath will not fit. I checked and none of the other sheaths in our line is a viable option. (either too big or too small) We discontinued the knife a while back so there are no extra or replacement sheaths available.
The best alternative is to contact any number one of the fine sheath makers on this forum or on the net and have a custom made for your knife. It may not be as expensive as you think.

Toooj - thanks for the info. I had plans to have one made by someone here, but a #1264 sheath came up for trade, and I figured I'd check and see if it would fit.

Update: after some experimenting here, I found that my #1273 KBD1 knife will fit in a standard leather sheath for the #1217 USMC knife. I bought a sheath for the #1211 knife (black handle version) from A.G. Russell, and it fits just as well. The sheath by itself is #1211S.

Figured I'd put that out there in case anyone else here needs the info in the future.
