Just curious as to whether you would "clean up" a well used sheath that goes with a very early version of a 110 or 112.

By clean up, I was thinking of maybe some black shoe polish and buffing one up some.

Or just leave it in a well carried condition?

I am guessing the answer is to leave it alone. But just curious as to what you guys think.

clean it with saddle soap ,then neetsfoot, shoe polish, hand buff.it will last longer in your humidity.

Dang Earl, Now you are turning this project into a 4 letter word.....WORK! :D

Sheaths are something we neglect in our busy knife collecting and using.they need the crud cleaned out of the inside every once in a while, and a gentle care to the outside.Talk about work I took pics of some of my knives Saturday nite and was going to clean the dust off of some of the ones I haven't gotten to....I never got to clean any of them .started at 6 pm finished at 2 am just getting pics.left half of them in the boxes and "dirty" sheaths. Now my goal is 5 per nite.I am behind already as I've only taken time to do 2.

If you are looking to maintain the sheath for years of loyal use, by all means, do the "WORK" described above.
If you are looking to preserve a collectible knife in hopes it will continue to appreciate in value, I would do a minimum of stuff to it.
I can't really comment on sheath maintanance since I have not tried anything other than water to clean mine up but I would think that as long as you don't drastically alter the factory appearance of the leather, your ok.
Of course, anything would be better than letting it dry out and crack, or get green and moldy.
