Sheath Question

I want to upgrade from edc'ing my small fixed blades (esee 3 & bk14) to mid-size (esee 4, bk16 & bk17) to even larger fixed blades (esee 5 and bk2). To do this I would like to have a kydex sheath for conceal carry and a leather sheath for open carry. The kydex sheath would be pancake style and fastened to the belt via paracord. The kydex sheath would be for function only (good retention, no rattle, good grip when drawing, etc), the cosmetics would not be as important. The leather sheath would have to be funtional and cosmetically pleasing (I am thinking similar to the leather sheath that brkt bravo's are coming with now w/ firesteel loop and double stitching).

So enough w/ the background info. My question is:

Could I simplify and save money by doubling up the knives that the sheath's carry? Are the esee 4 and bk tweener's similar enough that a kydex sheath and a leather sheath could be custom made to fit them all? How about the esee 5 and bk2? I am guessing the leather sheath would be easier to do this with than the kydex but this is just a guess. Has anyone gotten this to work? Could any of you makers do this? Thank you for your thoughts and comments.

I got a leather sheath from Armorall Leather for the ESEE 5, but use it for the BK2. So, there's a good chance to share sheaths with these two, at least the leather works. Maybe a shared kydex sheath would leave one knife a bit loose, IDK?

I dont think you could share a Kydex sheath (unless by shear luck that one fits the other). Because Kydex is thermoformed to the blade (and sometimes the tip of the scales) theres probably not much chance the two would intermingle very well. Leather on the other hand, you could most likely get away with sheath-sharing, depending on how specifically made the sheath is to the blade shape.

Thx guys. Yeah i don't think kydex would work for sharing betwean esee's and beckers but maybe the bk16 and bk17 since handles are the same. I will plan on trying to get a leather sheath made to fit both the esee 5 and bk2. I think that is feasible. So I will cut down my expenses (for now) by getting a kydex for the tweeners and a leather for the 1/4" thick 5" long blades.
