Does anyone know a kydex sheath maker who can provide a sheath for a Ratmandu without having to send your knife in. Also, is this even a good idea? The reason I ask is because i'm thinking that the milling/figuring on the handle slabs must be slightly different for each knife.

A good question. many of our sheath makers have the blades already (they are knife nuts too!) and the slight differences in scales and even grinds don't really make a difference. I wouldn't worry about it, even if their was a problem they would would make it right for you, why we luv them!

Just make sure they already have the blade(s) your getting when you talk/email them. not everyone does! but the RMD was/is very popular and most have it ;)

You can check past threads/pages here or in the "Sheath" section for recommendations and pictures of many of our makers.

I have one for kydex bending
The handles are CNCed and very uniform.
Oh, thats good to know. I would not have guessed that something as simple as applying texture to a handle would be done with such exacting standards, but this is good, as it is more convienent for me.
Martin has a ratmandu, and he makes some very nice looking kydex sheaths:

the left bar on his blog, way at the bottom has all the knives he has on hand.
I've been checking out his work lately, and I have to say that it is gorgeous. I doubt, however, that it falls within my price range at this time. Maybe I will email him to get an idea of his price.
I have several sheaths made by Steelnut-he does nice work!
I agree. I've looked at his pictures and they look to be of a high quality.

Thanks guys, and feel free to keep the sugestions coming!

I have a new one coming :D
